Returns Policy

At Retrolane, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If something isn’t right, we’re here to help.


🗓️ Return Period

We accept returns for any reason within 14 calendar days of delivery. Items must be returned in the condition they were received. Returns requested after this period may not be accepted.


✅ Return Eligibility

  • The item must be returned in the same condition as it was sold (e.g. disc, case, and any inserts must be included and undamaged)
  • You must provide proof of purchase (such as your order number or receipt)
  • The item must be packaged securely for return to prevent damage

We accept returns on both new and used (pre-owned) items.


📩 How to Start a Return

Please email hello@retrolane.co.uk before sending anything back. We’ll confirm your eligibility and provide the correct return address and instructions.

⚠️ Returns sent without prior approval may be delayed or refused.


💷 Return Postage Costs

Reason for Return Who Pays for Return? Notes
Item is faulty/damaged Retrolane covers cost We will either reimburse or provide a label
Incorrect item sent Retrolane covers cost
Change of mind / unwanted Buyer pays £3.75 We can provide a flat-rate return label

If returning due to change of mind, you may use your own Royal Mail Tracked/Signed For service, or request a return label from us for a flat fee of £3.75.


📦 Returns Address

Once your return is approved, we’ll confirm the correct return address and instructions.

Unless otherwise arranged, all returns must be sent via Royal Mail only to:

Please use Royal Mail Tracked or Signed For services and retain proof of postage.

🚚 If you are unable to use Royal Mail and need to return via courier (e.g. DPD, Evri, UPS), please contact us before sending.

Courier returns must be pre-approved and directed to a different facility.

Returns sent via courier without prior arrangement may be rejected or incur additional handling fees. We are not responsible for lost or misdirected items sent without prior contact.


🔁 Exchanges

If you would like a different item, please return the original (if eligible), and place a new order once your refund is processed.


💳 Refunds

Once your return has been received and inspected, we’ll notify you of the outcome.

If approved, your refund will be processed to your original payment method within 10 working days.

If more than 15 working days have passed since your return was approved and you have not received your refund, please contact us at hello@retrolane.co.uk.

  • Digital items (e.g. download codes)
  • Gift cards
  • Personalised or custom-made products
  • Items marked as “Final Sale”
